Focus IHBAS MRI

Focus IHBAS MRI is the latest venture of The Focus group under which the nation's first whole body state of the art Signa 3.0 Tesla HDX (High Definition) MRI system is being installed in the campus of Institute of Human Behavior & Allied Sciences (IHBAS) near GTB Hospital with the underlying motive of providing MRI Diagnostic solutions on the 3 Tesla platform which is the gold standard worldwide for high definition MR Imaging.

This dedicated path breaking MRI facility will cater to the entire in-patient & out-patient department of IHBAS, Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital & Rajiv Gandhi super specialty hospital. Apart from this it will provide dedicated services to patients from nearby areas of East Delhi & Uttar Pradesh (UP). This centre will also cater to all the specialized imaging applications for the patients of National capital territory raising the benchmark of diagnostic imaging. The Centre will start functioning by first week of May 2006.

Also planned in the second phase to build a CT, Nuclear Medicine & General radiology division very near to IHBAS & GTB Hospital which shall include a Multislice CT Scan, Nuclear Medicine, Denta Scan, DEXA Bone Densitometry, latest Colour Doppler / Ultrasound / Echocardiography imaging system, Digital X-Ray with II TV, Digital Mammography, complete Pathology Lab set-up with EEG and ECG facilities. It is planned to start this facility latest by September 2006.
